Clay was back to lead us in our workout tonight! YAY!
I got there early, once again, and did a full 2 mile warm up. I felt pretty dead during the warm up, but Dave was there so I just kept up with him.
Our intervals were:
1st) 2 x 800 with 500 fast, 100 easier, and 200 fast. My splits were 3:09 and 3:11 (6:20 average pace)
2nd) 2 x 600 with 300 fast, 100 easier, and 200 fast. My splits: 2:25 and 2:24 (6:26 average pace)
3rd) 2 x 400 with 100 fast, 100 easier, and 200 fast. My splits were: 1:33 and 1:35 (6:16 average pace)
4th) 2 x 300 all fast. My splits: 1:05 and 1:04 (5:48 average pace)
Total interval distance: 4200 meters in 14:26 for an average pace of 6:17…… A year ago, I would have been no where near this kind of pace in an interval workout….
Others there included Neil – out in front once again, followed by Vanessa and Dave and then myself. I’m forgeting the name of the next regular guy who was right behind me most intervals. He is getting faster! Then there was Alan and Julie. Jesse was also around, but I think he did his own workout…
