Saturday morning long run!

Relatively speaking, off course….
I met Clay at Marie Kerr park this morning for an easy run. We ran the same route I typically do with my kids – our Mt Rite Aid run. Clay made me walk some of the steepest uphills and downhills to minimize stress on my aductors.

I think that the run went fine. Initially, the main sore area was the right hamstring, but it felt better as the run progressed. The adductors started out pretty good, but they were getting tired by the end of the 5 miles.

Wow. I have run 13 miles so far this week. It feels good to be a runner again.

Oh, one more thing. This was the first run with the new insert. Clay had me remove a couple of layers so it is now just under half an inch. As I ran it did feel a little different – It felt like my left leg was getting more work than normal…. My left quad was getting tired as I worked my way down the hill. hmmmm…
