Wednesday I took the kids on a hill repeat workout. Of course, I just ran along easily…… 3 miles. In the evening I did some exercises including squats on a bosu-ball, what fun! Today I took about 40 kids on our run up to the tunnels. I had to take the short cuts to ensure that the stragglers kept running and that they went the right way. So I ended up with an easy, somewhat hilly 4.5 miles.
I have a comment asking what the tunnels are. This is a picture I took at the tunnels a few years back on one of our runs. These are 6 foot diameter drainage pipes that run under the aqueduct about a quarter mile southeast of the 60th St West bridge. We actually run over to the bridge at 60th and cross there. Than we head over to the tunnels to make our way back to Hillview. We also make use of these tunnels when we run up to the top of the ridge above the aqueduct.
What are the “tunnels” Dale? Never heard of them.
Hi Jim, I updated the post with a picture of the tunnels and an explanation. Thanks for Reading!
