I got in all three workouts today…..
1) Karl and I did our Thursday morning mile repeats over at Joe Walker. My quads were feeling pretty dead so I did not set any PRs, but then again, you’re not supposed to worry about PRs in workouts! My mile splits were: 6:54, 6:54, 6:50, 6:50, 6:55 and 6:54. Those last two were tough…..
2) After school I ran 4 miles with my team up to the aqueduct and back down. I kept the pace very easy. After the races yesterday, no one wanted to push the pace today.
3) A little while later I headed over to Clay’s office for a workout. I started with my 10 minute warm up cycle. Next I did 1000m on the ski erg in 4:16.0. In no particular order, as I recall, I also did: 3 x 10 – 20lb ball slams, table jumps, sled (Karl) pulls outside, big kettle bell swings between legs (3×10), one legged kettlebell lifts, band walks, monster walks, inchworms, one legged toss n catch (getting much more stable with this), on legged jump up onto box and off, one legged 4 way box jumps…
Saturday it will be time for my 20 mile fast finish long run! This time I am going to do it with a downhill, since O2O is downhill. So far David Weary and Sarah Bird are going to join me.
