This week I am going to ramp back up the mileage and the training…. with caution of course.
Sunday I ran with Chuck, Lance and Karl – 10 miles on the aqueduct. 1:24:49 The last couple of miles Karl and I split off and ran a little ahead. Miles 9 and 10 were a little under an 8 minute pace while still feeling relaxed, chatting with Karl.
This morning Chuck and Lance and I were at it again. Chuck and Lance stopped at 5 miles in 42:04. I turned around and went back out for 5 more. I concentrated on maintaining my forward lean and on keeping a stable core. I did not try to push the pace, but ran with what felt nice and easy. The last five took 39:34.
