Chuck and I enjoyed an easy 10 miler on the aqueduct this morning. Lance was there as well, running off ahead of us as usual. I was planning on 5 more miles, but I had to stop and use the restroom after 10. This took awhile and then, well I just got a bit lazy.
I have carefully mapped out my training strategy for Santa to Sea Half, Bakersfield Half, and the Los Angeles Marathon. I have adopted and adapted a training plan from “Run Faster” by Brad Hudson and Matt Fitzgerald. He had 3 marathon plans. I felt plan 2 to be too easy and plan 3 too had too many miles. So I took plan 3 and scaled it down to an appropriate level. After twisting and tweaking it to fit my training constraints the plan ended up fairly similar to what I have been doing. The main difference is more time/miles at 10K to Half Marathon Pace.
The plan starts tomorrow……
Enjoyed the run. Good luck with your new training plan.
