I have my excuses all ready to go…..

I have a cold……  That is my number one excuse.

I am twingy in the left hip/groin area.  The left side is my normally non twingy side….

Okay, enough of that.

I enjoyed the day off yesterday. I was off from training and off of work. I spent a lot of it working on the Nutty Runners 5K. It is coming along nicely.  Check out www.nuttyrunners5k.com

Tonight we had a nice workout at Joe Walker. We had a nice group: Justin Koo, Desi, Vick Hess, Carole Disparte, Branden Esharati, Kyra Sundance, Claire, Angelica Reyes, and two brand new members (as of today): Mayra Reyes and Matthew Diaz. Oh, Alan joined us in the middle too.

The workout was 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 3, 2, 1. I tried to maintain a “half marathon pace” speed limit. On the intervals with full laps, I found myself hitting 1:38 to 1:40 on a first lap and 3:22, 3:23 on double laps. I focused on staying in a 2:2 breath pattern, where I normally work out a lot in a 2:1 pattern. I discovered though that I could hit the above splits in that 2:2 pattern with a nice really quick turn over.
