There are some perks to being a teacher. Special deals just for teachers is one of them. Legoland has had a few special days where teachers could get in free! Friday was one of them. Of course, both Cheryl and I are teachers so we both went. Of course, adults cannot go to Legoland by themselves, so we took my daughter’ family, including both of my grandchildren. We stayed overnight and visited Cheryls mom in Hemet on the way back. Sunday we did some more traveling to visit an old friend of Cheryl’s.
This morning I met the Hillview kids for a morning workout. We did the long hill repeats up N and 55th west. As we left Hillview at 6:10 am it was a little bit misty. By the time we completed our workout it was a full out rain! The kid’s loved it! So did this big kid. Once again, after my time off, I do not seem to have lost much speed. I do feel like I will need to build endurance however.
The knee was not particularly bothersome during the run but it did feel like it had tightened afterwards….
Wait, what was that about a PR? Huge congratulations to Lance Close for running the Orange County Half marathon in 1:33:23. Yet another PR in a long string of PRs for him! I am sure he will earn another one later this month at the Mountains 2 Beach Marathon! I will be there at the finish line to cheer him in!
Nice pictures! Legoland looks like a fun place. I have never been there.
Glad to hear that your knee is feeling better.
I am running the Mountains to Beach Half. Maybe I will see you there
