I read an article in Runner’s World, I believe it came out a year or so ago, about tapering. I never have been quite confident with my tapers…. The article emphasizes a drop in distance while keeping a bit of intensity. They recommended 2 x 1 mile at Half marthon pace plus 4 x 400 for today. I figured that this would fit neatly into the Tuesday HDR workout so that is what we did. Of course, for the Tuesday night crowd, running based on time, we did 2 x 7 minutes plus 4 x 90s. On each of the 7s. I finished the mile. On the second, I finished a few seconds early (Oscar was right with me… On the 400s, the results were similar to last week. 395 meters going out, 400 meters coming back.
After I headed over to the Clayve for a workout. I was about 2/3 of a normal Clayve. I somehow did not have it on the pull ups….
