After the Turkey Trot I had intentions of getting in a long run. Friday, however, my wife and I made a trip to visit her sister so I decided to wait for Saturday. Saturday, my wife woke up with a headache so bad I had to take her to urgent care. (Still investigating the cause, it has happened 3 times now.) Sunday was busy with church stuff… so much for the long run.
Monday I had cataract surgery on my left eye. You may recall the right one was done in the spring. I was instructed to not exercise for two weeks. I negotiated that I could run after 1 week, but no lifting or Clayve (cross-fit) type work.
So, Tuesday this week, a week later I went to the HDR track workout. We did 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 1…. It went rather well but I was definitely feeling the effects of the layoff.

Wednesday I ran up to the aqueduct with the Hillview runners. I was sore from Tuesday, but the run went pretty well. In fact I somehow tied a PR on a Strava Segment.

Thursday, we had some fun in our workout. We played a game of Sharks and Minnows, then we ran a half mile. We did this 6 times….https://www.strava.com/activities/448008351/embed/0b4f449147b4924c76a4aa5d3229ce8375b8e8a3
