Bit of a scare this week…

I felt great after last weeks Metric Century GO ride…  I recovered on Sunday. I would have gone to the Clayve, but it was cancelled.

  • Monday I ran with the Hillview kids. We did our 2×4 trial. I recall pushing the pace just a bit on it, but I was not as fast as the week before…
  • Tuesday morning the team and I did an interval workout: 3,2,1,3,2,1,3,2,1  – minutes, of course. I felt good….
  • Tuesday afternoon, I did not participate in the kid’s workout.
  • Tuesday evening the HDR runners and I did my Sweet 16 workout. I was REALLY feeling strong. Best I can remember feeling on this workout in quite some time. I probably put a little too much oomph into some single leg hops. I felt something on the top of my right foot. It was not so bad that I had to stop the workout. I finished strong.
  • Tuesday, after the HDR workout I went to the CLAYVE and did a pretty tough workout…

Wednesday I knew that my foot was not right. It was achy. I tried jogging a few strides and it felt funny…. I took Wednesday off… and then Thursday. At one point Thursday afternoon, I was in a hurry to get to may car and I jogged across campus… In my shoes, my retired Sauconys, my foot felt fine… SO –

  • Friday I ran with the Hillview team to Jamba Juice… It felt fine. I felt fast after a few days rest.. I was wearing my Hoka One One Huaka Huakas…. cushy, yet supportive…
